So I decided to see Ikea's new outlet at Alam Sutera, Serpong. As not many clear information about public transportation, I spent hours of my Friday evening googling. Based on rough descriptions I decided to go anyway. So I'd like to share my little "adventure". But it can wait. Here I spot my favourite parts of the store : the section of cookies.. they have some really delicious kind of gingersnaps ! and they come in some varieties ! Now I regret that I only bought one pack. Next time I certainly will buy as many as gingersnaps for me. alone. not to share with anyone. for me only.
So it was my first visit. It was a bright sunny Saturday morning. Started at 7:30 am from home, I took a Kopaja to Kalideres terminal, paid IDR 4k for the ride, continued with a green angkot with a notification Kalideres - Serpong, told the driver that my destination is Alam Sutera.. been dropped off at the gate of Alam Sutera and paid IDR 8k. A bit lost in the middle of nowhere at this point. After some wandering walk with nobody gave clear direction about Ikea location, I saw an internal shuttle bus of Alam Sutera and hopped in, paid IDR 5k for the ticket, hoping to get as near as possible to my destination. Too bad they could only took me to Mall @ Alam Sutera and I need to take free shuttle provided by Ikea.
It was a bright sunny Saturday morning..
It was around 9:30 am when I arrived at the starting point. There was around 4 or 5 midi-bus from Blue Bird (or Big Bird? I failed to notice, my bad). But I had no better luck at that time, as they start operating on 10:30 am.
Considering I can see quite clearly the Ikea building from there and it seems not very far to get there by walking, so I decided to walk. Found out later that it was really a long walk, accross an open area with the sun shined sooo bright, bathed in my own sweat, almost blinded by the sun.. but fortunately there were a moment of a few seconds of passing clouds covering the sun.
So.. it is not a recommended way to go.
